Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid flight clutching dual lightning bolts, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked C. E. JUNCKER, BERLIN, measuring 42. 21 mm (w) x 52. 32 mm (h), weighing 36. 9 grams, the obverse
