Four piece construction, in 18K Gold with red, white and blue enamels, obverse centerpiece illustrating Queen Maria Isabella Luisa, surrounded by the inscription "ISABEL II REINA DE ESP", reverse centrepiece with the monogram "MYL"surrounded by the inscription "AL MERITO MILITAR", measuring 32 mm (w) x 51. 3 mm (h inclusive of its crown suspension), weighs 9. 95 grams, original ribbon, notable enamel
