Order Of Combatant Merit Archive This buckle was never finishedOrder of Combatant Merit Officer, in gilt and green enamels, 38mm x 40 mm, light contact marks, extremely fine condition. This order was created on September 14, 1953 to recognize the leaders of organizations whose aim was the support former combatants and victims of war. Insignia were made by Arthus Bertrand, Paris.. The order has not been awarded since 1963 and thus had a life of just ten years.
