Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the Medicine Hat district of Alberta with mobilization headquarters at Medicine Hat under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed October 4, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel N. Spencer with a strength of 30 officers and 847 other ranks. It was
